No Tiny Toes

Neil doesn’t have a “little toe”.  Or maybe he has four little toes.  However you put it, all his toes, other than his big toe, are the same size.

Anything is Better than Cereal

In an attempt to get Neil to sleep more than a few hours at a time at night, we started him on cereal a few weeks ago.  The first couple tries, he hated eating.  Because he pouts whenever we say “ahh”, it was hard to get him to open his mouth; Marcel had to pinch his cheeks a couple times.

After several attempts, he still doesn’t get the concept of eating.  He doesn’t know to open his mouth, and when he does, he either starts choking or the food comes back out.  He’s not crying anymore, but after a few spoonfuls, he generally has had enough.

He’s happiest when I give up feeding him.

He won’t open his mouth for food, but he loves eating everything else, such as the washcloth I used to clean him up.  Maybe it tasted like cereal…

Tora: MIA

We thought that Tora was keeping a low profile because of our house guests this weekend, but it looks like she hasn’t been around since Friday.  We put up fliers in case someone in the area took her in, thinking she was a stray, but I don’t think there’s a big chance that someone would take her after two years (but we can hope).  She’s a smart cat, and there don’t seem to be as many coyotes this year, so we’re not sure what happened.  We probably never will, but for now, we keep looking around for her whenever we hear a noise, and Kame is splitting her time between sleeping in Tora’s spots and looking out the window.
